Education Directorate Withdraws Recognition of Interim Dagbon Students’ Association Executives

The Northern Regional Directorate of Education has officially withdrawn an earlier notification concerning the appointment and recognition of Interim Executive Members of the Regional Dagbon Students’ Association (DASA).

In a statement signed by the Regional Director, Mr. Alhassan Alidu Jnr, the Directorate indicated that the decision followed a thorough review and consultations. As a result, all directives and recognitions granted in the previous communication have been nullified with immediate effect.

The statement further advised heads of second-cycle institutions and other relevant stakeholders to cease all official engagements or collaborations with the said interim executives until further notice.

Despite the withdrawal, the Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to promoting student welfare and fostering cultural unity in accordance with Ghana Education Service (GES) protocols. It assured stakeholders that any future developments concerning student associations would be duly communicated through appropriate channels.

The Directorate concluded by expressing regret for any inconvenience the decision may cause and appreciated the continued cooperation of all parties involved.
