The Founder and Leader of Darul Tawheed Institute in Tamale, Sheikh Dr. Abu Dujana Ibn Basha, has praised the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, for his timely intervention in resolving issues that threatened to disrupt the airlifting of Ghanaian pilgrims to the Holy Land of Mecca.
Delivering a Friday sermon in Accra, Sheikh Dr. Abu Dujana noted that the President’s swift action brought significant relief to affected travelers, especially those who encountered challenges due to visa issues—many of which reportedly stemmed from names on the government’s protocol list.

“The President stepped in, and all the issues have been resolved,” he stated. “He directed that the task force addresses the visa problems urgently to ensure that all pilgrims are airlifted to Saudi Arabia.”
Dr. Abu Dujana commended the President for demonstrating compassion toward Ghana’s Muslim community. “This shows the President has a good heart for the Muslim population. He deserves commendation for this kind gesture,” he added.
According to the Hajj Taskforce, over 5,500 pilgrims have already been airlifted, with an outstanding 425 scheduled to depart on Wednesday. The taskforce also disclosed that more than 40 pilgrims were initially affected by visa application errors and other logistical issues.
