A ‘Peace Walk’ for the peaceful performance of the funerals of the late Yaa Naa Yakubu Andani and Naa Mahamudu Abdulai was held in Tamale Friday. This came after the three eminent chiefs presented their report to the president.
The walk was organized by a youth group called Dagbon Malivia Zugu and was attended by sections of both the Abudu and Andani families.
The walk which started at the Jubilee Park heavy security protection went through some principal streets of Tamale under heavy security protection and later converged at the starting point where they were addressed by representatives of both families.
Some of the plaque arts read: ‘The road map to peace must be implemented’ ‘We need Yaa Naa now’ ‘Dagbon dignity must be restore now for future generation’ and ‘Enough is enough.’ among others.
