Former President John Dramani Mahama has presented hundred thousand Ghana cedis to the Dagbang Development fund (DDF) as his contribution towards the construction of the Gbewaa palace.
The presentation was in fulfillment of his pledge of the amount during the sod cutting ceremony on March 4, 2023.
A cheque of 100,000 was presented to the community in Yendi by a member of the Sanitation committee of the National Democratic Congress, Mr Godfred Apasinaba Wumbei in Yendi.
King Yellow as he affectionately called reiterated the NDC flagbearer support to the Dagbang Development Fund.
A member of the Dagbang Development Fund, Alhaji Mohammed Haroun Cambodia received former president Mahama’s support, thanked him for honoring his pledge and urged him to continue to support.
The support Alhaji Cambodia said came at the right time because the Dagbang Traditional Council was holding an emergency in Yendi.
He assured the former president that the trustee and dignitaries to the fund accounts are chiefs with impeachable reputations and all monies received will be appropriately accounted for.
Members of the DDF report contributions to the Dagbang Development Fund chairman, Nayab Kug Naa before lodging it to the fund’s account.
