`I think that is a very good intervention by the government, we have been spraying this bedbugs  but they are not going away; We spent thousands of cedis and we don’t even know what to do again, they are just nausance.

‘Our students get rashes all over their body anytime they in school. If government  intervene in  bringing zoomlion to minimized or eradicate the insects we  are happy’, Hajia Amina stated.

She continued ;The bedbugs have overstay in our school and we are very much grateful to the  government and zoomlion  effort.

On his part, Assistant Head Master of Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO), Mr  Abdulai Baba expressed their gratitude to government and zoomlion for the intervention.

TAMASCO, Mr Baba disclosed also  spent huge sum of money in combating the bedbugs infections and other insects including cockroaches and termites.

He appealed to government to make fumigation and disinfection an annual exercise at least 3 times in a year.

Director for Communication and Corporate Affairs for Zoomlion Ghana Limited Mrs Emma Akyea-Boakye, told the media at GHANASCO that the exercise since its beginning on 11th May, 2020 in Tamale has been successful.

Mrs Akyea-Boakye encouraged parents to try and fumigate their homes to prevent students from possible transporting the insects from their  schools to their various homes.
On the sustainability of the effects of the exercise, Mrs Akyea-Boakye suggested to the government to make the exercise a quarterly.

‘If we could do this at least every qauter, it would help teaching and learning in the schools’ Mrs Akyea-Boakye emphasized.
