The District Chief Executive for the Zabzugu District, George Tanei Lankobi, has assured residents of government’s commitment to improving the basic economic needs of communities across the district.
Mr. Lankobi gave the assurance during the 69th Independence Day celebration held on March 6, 2026, at Kpukpaligu.
Addressing the gathering, the DCE reiterated government’s dedication to promoting development and improving the living conditions of people in the district.
He emphasized that the district assembly remains focused on implementing policies and programmes that will enhance livelihoods and support community growth.

Mr. Lankobi also used the occasion to reassure stakeholders of Kpukpaligu Basic School that the district assembly is aware of the infrastructural challenges confronting the school and will soon take steps to address them.
According to him, the assembly, in collaboration with his office, will work to improve the school’s infrastructure to enhance effective teaching and learning.
The DCE further called on residents to support government programmes and initiatives aimed at accelerating development and improving the wellbeing of communities across the Zabzugu District.
