The Member of Parliament (MP) for Zabzugu, Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Umar Abaako, has intensified his constituency-wide thank you tour, using the opportunity not only to express gratitude to his constituents but also to rally them around a shared vision of unity and development.
Earlier this year, immediately after the first recess of Parliament, Hon. Abaako toured communities including Kpukoalgu, Gor, Kowrli, Korikurugu/Maa, and Woribogu Electoral Areas to personally thank residents for their overwhelming support in the 2024 general elections.

Over the weekend, the MP extended the tour to cover Kpalagbini, Mangose, and Tasundo (No. 1 & 2)—areas he could not visit during the earlier round. He appealed to residents for their understanding, assuring them that every corner of the constituency remained important to him.
Accompanied by the District Chief Executive, Hon. George Lakoba Tanie, the NDC Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Alidu Bawa, and other executives, Hon. Abaako told the gatherings that the electoral victory belonged to the people of Zabzugu. Speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama and himself, he pledged to translate their loyalty and trust into practical, people-centered development.
“Our victory belongs to you, the people of Zabzugu,” the MP declared. “I will continue to listen to you, work with you, and serve you with honesty and dedication.”
Earlier, he also held a strategic meeting with constituency executives where discussions centered on strengthening party cohesion and aligning development priorities. Quoting a local proverb, he stressed: “When spiders unite, they can tie up a lion.” He noted that the constituency’s growth depends on collective effort, peace, and unity.
The tour was warmly received, with many residents describing it as both reassuring and inspiring. To them, it signaled not just gratitude from their MP, but also a renewed commitment to fostering unity and delivering accelerated development across Zabzugu.
