The Nanung Peace Initiative (NPI) has held its annual Quran recitation and prayers in Wulensi, located in the Nanung South District. The event, themed “Promoting Forgiveness and Unity: Seeking Allah’s Mercy for a Peaceful Nanung,” brought together scores of Muslims, including prominent and notable Sheikhs from the Nanung Kingdom.
The gathering aimed to foster development and promote peaceful coexistence among the people of Nanung. Speaking after the event, the Chairman of the Nanung Peace Initiative, Alhassan Somed Dassana, emphasized that the occasion serves as a platform to unite and engage the sons and daughters of the Kingdom in the region’s development agenda.

“We are appealing to the sons and daughters of our Kingdom to support this noble cause to bring unity and the much-needed development to the doorstep of the people,” he stated.
Sheikh Abukari Yakubu, Chief Imam of Wulensi, led prayers for Allah’s blessings and protection. He also urged all community members to embrace peace, highlighting that peace is essential for any community’s progress and development.
The annual event continues to serve as a significant step toward fostering unity and development in the Nanung Kingdom.
