The prayer session formed part of activities marking Ghana’s 69th Independence Anniversary. The service brought together worshippers from different ethnic backgrounds, including participants from Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Togo.

During the service, members delivered messages and prayers in various local dialects, highlighting Ghana’s cultural diversity and the importance of unity among the country’s many ethnic groups.

The annual Sanctuary of Wind and Fire Assemblies of God prayer service is aimed at showcasing Ghana’s rich heritage and diverse culture.

The event, held at the church premises in Kanvili, saw many worshippers dressed in traditional attire such as fugu and kente while performing various cultural dances.

As part of the celebration, different ethnic groups prepared and shared traditional dishes including fufu, tuo zaafi (TZ), akple, tubani, and koose with moringa.

The initiative seeks to promote Ghanaian culture and strengthen peace and unity both within the church and across the nation.

Delivering his sermon, the Lead Pastor of the church, Reverend Lambon Aaron Fant, stressed the importance of continuous prayer for the country to maintain peace and stability.
