Tamale, Northern Region — Member of Parliament for Zabzugu, Alhaji Alhassan Umar, has stepped up his engagement with constituents, visiting communities across the constituency to listen to residents and identify their key development concerns.
The outreach took the MP to Sabare Tindang, Biyinkundo, Bitido, Biyikumdo and Nyankpala, where he interacted with residents and community leaders.
At Sabare Tindang in the Sabare Electoral Area, Alhaji Umar listened to concerns raised by residents and reaffirmed his commitment to promises made during the 2024 general elections.
Residents also used the opportunity to highlight pressing challenges confronting the community and welcomed the MP’s decision to engage them directly.
At Biyinkundo, the MP called for unity, patience and tolerance among constituents, reminding them that political leadership is not permanent.
“Everybody has his or her time. Today it may be me; tomorrow it may be somebody else,” he said.
He urged residents to maintain unity and resolve differences through dialogue and mutual understanding.
The MP was accompanied on the tour by the District Chief Executive for Zabzugu, Hon. George Lakoba Tanei, and Presiding Member Hon. Mahamoud Osman.
The engagements provided residents with an opportunity to raise concerns and discuss their development aspirations, while giving the leaders firsthand insight into priorities at the community level.
Alhaji Umar said continued engagement with constituents remained important to ensuring that local concerns inform development efforts in the Zabzugu Constituency.
