Members of Timyumtaba Association in New Jersey, U.S.A, have been challenged to find ways to live in peace with each other.
In a spirited sermon celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday, Imam Osman Abubakari urged members to find the capacity to forgive one another. “It is not a sign of weakness to reach out and forgive, God is the Greatest and he always forgives us,” Imam Abubakari noted, adding that forgiveness is a virtue that fosters unity and ultimately minimizes squabbles.
It was a festive atmosphere at the mosque on Old Bergen Rd. in Jersey City, as congregants mingled after prayers and wished each other Eid Mubarak.
