Zabzugu, Tatale Districts Endorse Mills – Presiding Member

The Presiding Member for the Zabzugu/Tatale District Assembly Madam Mary Tagba says the people in the newly created Tatale/Sangule district are prepared to give Professor John Evans .A. Mills a second term for responding to their needs.
According to her, a new district to facilitate the development of area was the major need of the people. She said the people of the newly created district have resolved to support Prof. Mills and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the December elections because of the president’s quick response to their quest for a new district.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Zaa Radio, Madam Tagba said the creation of the Tatale/Sangule District Assembly was a good move by the president and that it has reposed confidence in the ability of the NDC to deliver on its development mandate.
“We called on the government to give us a new district and the government responded accordingly. For us, this is an indication that this government is a listening one,” she said. Madam Tagba who is also the Assembly women for Tatale “O” Section Electoral Area said the creation of Tatale/Sangule District will not only promote economic activities in the area but it will create jobs for unemployed youth.
She said the separation of Zabzugu and Tatale into two districts would attract more development funds for the two areas that propel the transformation of those areas. The PM said the Zabzugu/Tatale area benefited from a number of development projects under NDC government than any other governments.
She cited the construction of the Sabari Brigde, which crosses River Oti, the establishment of two secondary schools in Zabzugu and Tatale, the construction of polyclinic at Tatale and  the construction of Zabzugu Hospital among other development projects as some of major and key development project undertook by the NDC governments.
She appealed to Ghanaians to retain the party in power come December 7 to enable the government to provide more infrastructural development in the areas of health, education and roads throughout the country. She welcomes organizations willing to give more skill training to women i particular to enhance their economic conditions and reduce poverty among them. ]]>
