The President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has commissioned 152 unit stalls at the Tamale Central Market popularly called “Kakpaɣida noli” many also call it “Dakurini”.
The commission forms part of Mahamas’ three days #Changinglives, TransformingGhana tour of the Northern Region.
The president was conducted round the market by the MP for Tamale South Constituency and Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, Haruna Iddrisu, the Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini and the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive, Hanan Gundadow.
President Mahama also inspected the progress of work at the Aboabu market. The Tamale mayor on behalf of the people in Tamale thanked the president for upgrading the market to befit the status of Tamale.
Earlier today, the president interacted with chiefs in the northern region at the Northern Regional House of Chiefs.
