The University for Development Studies (UDS) has strongly refuted a misleading video circulating on TikTok, which falsely alleges that students enter examination halls with pre-prepared answer sheets.
In an official statement, UDS categorically denied these claims, labeling them as baseless and damaging. The university emphasized its commitment to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, operating under strict examination policies to ensure fairness, credibility, and transparency.
“Our students undergo rigorous academic training, and our examination processes are closely monitored to maintain the institution’s hard-earned reputation,” the statement read.
The university described the false allegation as an attack on its integrity and an attempt to tarnish the reputation of its students, faculty, and the institution as a whole. UDS has, therefore, demanded an immediate retraction of the defamatory content and an unqualified public apology from its creators. The university warned that failure to comply would result in legal action to protect its image and credibility.
While acknowledging the power of digital media, UDS urged content creators to exercise ethical responsibility. The institution stressed that the right to create and share content comes with a duty to ensure accuracy, fairness, and respect for others’ reputations.
“Misinformation and sensationalism can have serious consequences, especially for institutions like UDS, which thrive on their credibility. We urge creators to verify their claims before publication and avoid content that spreads falsehoods or damages reputations,” the statement further noted.
The university has called on the public to disregard the misleading content and to continue supporting UDS in its mission to provide quality higher education while upholding the principles of academic excellence and integrity.
The statement was signed by Abdul-Hayi Moomen, Director of Public Affairs, on behalf of the Registrar of the University for Development Studies.
