MASSIVE CROWD AS TAMALE NORTH CONSTITUENTS DEFY HEAVY RAINS TO ATTEND MP’s MAIDEN EDITION OF TOWN HALL MEETING

Constituents of Tamale North in the Sagnarigu Municipality have defied a heavy down pour to participate in the Member of Parliament Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini’s maiden edition of Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, September, 29 2021..

The constituents some of whom came on motorbikes, private transport and  by foot was excited their MP has shown commitment to account to them his stewardship and also take on board their contribution for fu5ture development planning.

Some of them who spoke to Zaa News said they will do anything to ensure Alhaji Suhuyini succeeds in his quest to bring governance and development closer to the people of the Tamale North Constituency

A constituent, Fuseini Bawa told Zaa News’s Saani Mohammed Lukman that he has been waiting for the programme since morning.

“When I heard about the Town Hall Meeting, I left my house very early so that I don’t miss anything. I have been here since 8am and I won’t allow the rain to prevent me from participating in the programme,” he said.

The Member of Parliament for the Tamale North Constituency Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini has taken steps to strengthen social auditing and accountability by holding his maiden edition of a Town Hall meeting tomorrow.

The event held at the GNAT Hall offered a cross-section of his constituents the opportunity to seek clarifications on his stewardship so far as an MP.

This is the first time, at least in the Northern Region, a Member of Parliament availed himself at a public forum where his constituents will openly engage him on how he has represented them at the legislative assembly.
