The King of Dagbon, Ya-Naa Mahama Abukari II has lauded this year’s Northern region’s representative of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB), Zara Suleman for her outstanding performances during the competition.
“You did your very best during the competition and I was really impressed with your performances but it is the will of Allah that made you not to win the crown and not the power of man. I want you to continue to stay focused as you strive to get to the higher height and don’t ever give up”, the Ya-Naa said.
The King revealed this when Zara and her team paid him a courtesy call to express gratitude for his support before, during and after the competition of this year’s GMB.
Zara and her team donated one thousand exercise books to the Ya-Naa to be distributed to some of the deprived schools in Yendi to enhance teaching and learning.
Zara appealed to the Ya-Naa for his continuous support to enable her champion her project on education by way of providing teaching and learning materials to deprived schools in the Northern region.
Upon receiving the exercise books, the Ya-Naa assured Zara and her team of his continuous assistance to help her agender become very successful.
“Don’t hesitate to always knock on my door whenever you need my support and I will help you to succeed. let not what happened at the competition demoralize you from doing what you have chosen to do. It’s only Allah who chooses a leader”, the Ya-Naa stated.
In reciprocating Zara’s gesture, the Ya-Naa also donated some amount of money, tubers of yam and a traditional smock garment to show his appreciation to Zara and her team.
The team proceeded to Bimbila to continue with the donation of exercise books and to also pay homage to the regent of Bimbila, Nyelinboligu Naa Yakubu Andani Dasani Abdulai for his unflinching support during this year’s GMB competition.
He expressed gratitude for the donation and advised Zara not to see herself as a looser for not being crowned as this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful but be happy for getting a platform to showcase the culture of the North to the rest of the world.
“Your kind gesture shows that you have something great in you to give to the world and ensuring education is taken serious in the Northern region”, the regent said.
The regent also reciprocated by given the team some tubers of yam and guinea fowls with the assurance of supporting them whenever they knock on his doors for support.
