The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the northern has begun vetting of over three hundred aspirants vying for the various positions in the party in 36 constituencies.
The vetting committee is expected to vet sixteen constituencies Thursday and 15 on Friday. The party office located in Ward ‘’K’’ in the Sagnarigu district was inundated with party colours and supporters of the various aspirants.
The aspirants are vying for constituency chairmen, organizers secretaries among other portfolios. Our sources at the Party secretariats say the party expected all aspirants and their supporters to conduct themselves well before and after the vetting.
Meanwhile, some supporters of the aspirants told Zaa News they suspect some fishy deals because the manner in which the exercise is being organized leaves much to be desired.
According to them, the constituencies should have been zoned to avoid what they described as unnecessary crowding at the precinct of the regional party office.
Aspirants who traveled from constituencies such as Zabzugu, Cheripone, Nalerigu-Gambaga, Bimbilla among others who will not be vetted today will have to find places of abode in Tamale for their turn on Friday August 15 2014.
