Bisco Holds Speech and Prize in Tamalee

Business Senior High School in Tamale has held its first speech and prize giving day. The school that was established in 1963 will be celebrating its golden jubilee in 2013.
The occasion was under the theme quality education delivery, the role of stakeholders.
The school which was the first business school to be established in the northern region has a current student population of over eight hundred.
 
Delivering the welcome address, the headmaster of the school S.B. Awari said the occasion among other things is to market the institution by way of its products.
He said it is also to ginger staff and students to harness the goodwill and support of stakeholders to improve upon quality education delivery to elevate the school to a premiership status among its contemporaries.
 Mr Awari mentioned lack of accommodation as one of the challenges of the school. He said the school has a staff capacity of one hundred and thirty with only seventeen staff bungalows.
He also mentioned the lack of dormitories, classrooms blocks, bath houses, toilet facilities among other things.
He expressed gratitude to government and the Ghana Education Trust fund (GETfund) for the support towards infrastructural development of the school.
The Deputy Minister of Communication Ernest Atokwe congratulated the school on the occasion and asked the school authorities to officially write to the communication ministry for computers and their accessories.
The Northern Regional Minister, Moses Bukari Mabengba congratulated the headmaster for being the first to organize a speech and prize in the school.
