ALLOWING THE 6 INCUMBENT MPS TO GO FOR PARLIAMENTARY PRIMARIES WILL BE A SUICIDAL FOR THE NPP IN THE NORTHERN REGION

We are not in normal times and party leadership must do everything possible to protect and save the 6 Members of Parliament from spending and wasting much resources on Parliamentary primaries towards 2028 General elections.

I know many people may not be happy because they are interested in contesting those 6 MPs in the upcoming Parliamentary primaries, But we need to be bold, look at each other’s face and speak the truth.

For these 6 MPs, Hon. Habib Iddrisu of Tolon, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam of Karaga, Hajia Fatahiya Abdul-Aziz of Savelugu, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul of Bimbila, Hon. Matthew Nyindam of Kpandai and Hon. Hassan Tampuli of Gushegu, to come out successfully after the 2024 intense elections shows how powerful they are and must be protected at all cost.

Even in Opposition for 1 year 10 months as minority MPs, They still pull strings to define the duties and responsibilities of every Member of Parliament in the Northern Region including the NDC 🇦🇪 MPs.

The works of these 6 MPs have incited the minds of both young and old to believe the era of enjoying monopoly from ABUDU & ANDANI in Northern politics is past and gone.
The energy, zeal, courage and passionate appeal to their constituents in addition with hard work has forced other MPs to work more harder rather than depending on unnecessary issues to win elections in their various Constituencies.

With their efforts, ideas, plans and new innovative ways of changing the face of politics in the Northern Region, you now see MPs ….

1: Registering and Assembling Tertiary students in their various Constituencies to support them with school fees annually.

2: Offering the youth the right jobs they deserve to have after winning power… Military, Police, Fire, Immigration, Prison and other security service recruitments and civil service jobs.

3: Supporting Business men and women in their various Constituencies.
4: Empowering the Grassroots (Polling station executives), by providing them the necessary logistics to execute their duties successfully.

4: Recognising the talents of every young man and women and pushing in the needed materials and tools for them to excel. Eg, Setting up media houses in their various Constituencies to nature the talents of young and upcoming journalists and promote the entertainment industry, Providing powerful sound and stage to musicians for free which could have cost them Gh50,000 and more.

Apart from all this, Their performance in the house of parliament as minority MPs from the Northern Region is excellent, and must not be replace with anyone.

I am therefore, Appealing to the National chairman, John Boadu, The Regional chairman, Baantima Samba and our Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to take a bold step and protect these 6 MPs, secure their seats down and fight for the remaining ones we have lost or possibly win the highest number seats come 2028.

It’s very clear for NPP to win 2028 General elections, But if our leaders are not bold to take strong and firm decisions towards our upcoming Parliamentary primaries we will laugh at the wrong side of mouth.

Every Member of Parliament or Parliamentary who survived and excelled from the 2024 General elections must tell you he or she can walk over freely and bring us back the seat in 2028.
