The Northern Regional Minister, Ali Adolf John, has urged the chiefs and people of Bimbila to embrace peace and dialogue in resolving the long-standing chieftaincy dispute in the area.
Mr. Ali Adolf John made the call during a visit to Bimbila on March 12, 2025, as part of his thank-you tour to express gratitude to the Chiefs in the region for their support and guidance during and after the general elections.
The Regional Minister, who is a native of Bimbila, expressed concerns about the negative impact of the chieftaincy dispute on the community and emphasized the need for a peaceful and lasting solution to pave the way for development.
“I am committed to promoting peace and development in the region, and I believe that the chiefs and people of Bimbila have a critical role to play in achieving this goal,” Hon. Ali Adolf John said.
The chiefs of Bimbila welcomed the Regional Minister and his entourage, pledging their support to find a lasting solution to the chieftaincy dispute.
Hon. Ali Adolf John was accompanied by a delegation, including members of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) led by the Acting Chief Director, Mr. Sumaila Ewuntomah Abudu, and senior administrative officers from the Northern Regional Coordinating Council.
The visit is part of the Regional Minister’s efforts to promote collaboration and mutual support among stakeholders in the region, with the ultimate goal of promoting development, unity, and peace.
In a related development, the Nanumba North Municipal Assembly has emphasized the importance of peace and development in the region, with a vision to create a peaceful, progressive, and well-developed municipal with a high standard of living for its people.
