The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Zabzugu, Yussif Alidu Labandoo has presented building materials and a water reservoir to the Zabzugu Senior High School.
The materials included four (4) big poly-tanks and fifteen (15) packets of roofing sheets. The materials are to support the school administration complete the construction of two girls’ dormitory blocks.
The completion of the girl’s dormitory is expected to reduce the accommodation problem facing the school. School authorities said the school admitted 800 students this year, bringing the total student population to 2,500 for the 2015-2016 academic year.
The dormitory, when completed, is expected to accommodate two-hundred students. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Zabzugu DCE stated that his outfit is working hard to end the water crisis in the Zabzugu Senior High School and the whole District.
The Assistant Headmaster of the High School, Mr.Iddrisu Abdul-Kareem, who received the materials lamented about the inadequate water supply in the school, saying it has affected students negatively in their studies.
