The Zabzugu parliamentary candidate elect for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Alhassan Umar, a.k.a. “Obaako,” has observed the need for the rank and file of the party in the constituency to remain united after the just-ended primaries.
This, he said, would solidify both the leadership and base of the party to ensure effective prosecution of the 2024 general election for a resounding victory.
Mr. Obaako, who was speaking on Zaa TV, reiterated his commitment to lead the process to ensure unity and the rebuilding of the NDC in Zabzugu.
He noted that the candidates in the just-ended parliamentary primaries, while already reaching out to each other, have pledged to work closely to recapture the Zabzugu seat.
“One of the aspirants, George Taani, immediately after the election came to my house to congratulate me before heading to his community. I’ve also engaged all contenders and their campaign teams at their various residences, all in a bid to build bridges for party unity and cohesion,” Mr. Umar Obaako stated.
He therefore urged all and sundry to put their differences behind them and forge ahead since the bigger battle was the 2024 general elections.
Mr. Umar Obaako thanked the rank and file of the NDC in the Zabzugu Constituency, his campaign team, the party support base, and all other unsuccessful aspirants for their show of support and commitment to the overall course of the NDC
