The Dagbon Students Association (DASA) in the Northern Region has congratulated Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Member of Parliament for Karaga, on his appointment as the Minister of Finance.
The Dagbon Students Association (DASA) Executives, on behalf of its members, said the appointment of Hon. Dr. Amin Anta, a son of Dagbon, is seen as a source of pride and inspiration not only to the people of Dagbon but to the entire Northern Ghana. DASA believes it would also serve as an aspiration for the youth in their quest for more knowledge to brighten their future.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Dagbon Students Association yesterday.
The DASA’s statement quoted His Royal Majesty Ndan Yaa Naa, saying, “Your appointment is a source of pride and inspiration for the people of Dagbon. Your track record of commitment to public service and your profound understanding of fiscal matters inspire confidence in your ability to navigate the complexities of a nation’s finances with wisdom and integrity.”
“Having contributed massively to enhancing equal opportunity and quality education for us, the students of Dagbon, which is immeasurable, DASA hopes and prays that you continue to provide more educational support to Dagbon and the northern region at large. This will go a long way towards helping reduce the numerous educational challenges facing the north and complementing government efforts,” the statement noted.
The statement also added: “It is DASA’s fervent prayers and hope that Almighty Allah continues to protect and guide you as you commence your work as the finance minister, so as to help strengthen the country’s economy.”
