The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Zabzugu constituency has officially launched its grand campaign, setting the stage to reclaim the parliamentary seat in the upcoming general elections. The campaign launch, held in Zabzugu, witnessed a massive turnout of enthusiastic party supporters and key officials, reaffirming the NDC’s determination to regain control of the constituency.
In his address, the Northern Regional Chairman of the NDC, Ali Adolf, encouraged the people of Zabzugu to throw their full support behind the party’s parliamentary candidate, Hon. Alhassan Umar Abaako. He stressed the importance of unity within the constituency and urged the electorate to vote in large numbers for the NDC in order to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
“We must stand together and support Hon. Abaako. A united front is key to securing our victory. Let us not be divided. The NDC has a bright future, and Zabzugu will be part of that success.”
Also present at the event was the NDC parliamentary candidate for the Sagnarigu constituency, Attah Issah, who voiced his confidence in the party’s chances of winning in Zabzugu. He expressed doubt about the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) ability to retain the seat, urging NDC members to remain steadfast and avoid being influenced by any attempts at vote-buying.
“The NPP is aware they are losing, and they will try to buy your votes. I urge you all to stay focused and reject any inducements. The NDC is here for the people, and we will deliver for Zabzugu.”
The campaign launch has infused new energy into the NDC base in Zabzugu, as the party ramps up efforts to unseat the NPP in the forthcoming elections. Former Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, also paid tribute to Hon. Hon. Alhassan Umar Abaako, highlighting his contributions to digitalization and commending his efforts to modernize local governance.
“Hon. Abaako has been a key figure in pushing for the digital transformation of our systems. His work is commendable, and I believe with him, Zabzugu will see significant progress.”
With this show of strength, the NDC remains hopeful that their candidate, Hon. Abaako, will secure victory and reclaim the Zabzugu parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections.
