Northern Regional Minister hails Star Ghana Foundation’s Commitment to Peace and Development in Northern Ghana.

Tamale, Ghana – March 11, 2025

The Northern Regional Minister, Hon. Ali Adolf John, today received a courtesy call from a delegation of Star Ghana Foundation, who congratulated him on his appointment and pledged their support for peace and development initiatives in the region.

According to a statement from the Northern Regional Coordinating Council, the visit was aimed at strengthening the partnership between the council and Star Ghana Foundation, which has been instrumental in promoting peace, security, and development in Northern Ghana.

The Ag. Chief Director of the Northern Regional Coordinating Council (NRCC), Mr. Sumaila Ewuntomah Abudu, welcomed the Star Ghana team and acknowledged their efforts in promoting peace and security in the region. He highlighted their series of meetings with the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) aimed at ensuring a secure and peaceful environment.

The leader of Star Ghana Foundation, Mr. Ibrahim Tanko Amidu, outlined three key activities for this year, focusing on promoting peace, security, and development in Northern Ghana. These initiatives include the Annual Northern Ghana Development Summit, the Northern Ghana Peace and Security Dialogue, and the establishment of a Disaster Fund (Northern Ghana Flood Fund).

Hon. Ali Adolf John expressed his gratitude to the Star Ghana team for their visit and praised their collaborative efforts in promoting peace, security, and development in Northern Ghana.

“We appreciate the support of Star Ghana Foundation in our efforts to promote peace and development in the region,” Hon. John said. “We look forward to continuing our partnership to address the challenges facing our region.”

The visit by Star Ghana Foundation underscores the importance of collaboration between state and non-state actors in promoting peace, security, and development in Northern Ghana.
