Gushegu Constituency Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Kanayo AbdulGafaru Seidu-Dambu, has formally declared his intention to contest for the position of Northern Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC in the party’s upcoming regional elections.
Mr. Kanayo says his decision is driven by a commitment to serve, unite and empower young people across the Northern Region and strengthen the party’s grassroots structures.
Declaring his intention, he said the youth of the region deserve a leader who will listen to their concerns, organize them and boldly champion their interests.
He said his decision is not borne out of personal ambition alone, but a call to service shaped by years of active participation, grassroots engagement and leadership within the NDC.
Mr. Kanayo highlighted his experience in student leadership, political communication, electoral administration, and constituency-level party organization.

His previous positions include Serial Caller of the NDC, Branch Secretary of the Gushegu M/A JHS, TEIN Treasurer, Vice President and President of Tamale Polytechnic, Constituency Director of Elections for Gushegu, and a member of the NDC Northern Regional Communications Team.
He has also served as Constituency Youth Organizer for Gushegu and Spokesperson for the Northern Region Constituency Youth Organizers Caucus.
According to him, these responsibilities have equipped him with experience in teamwork, discipline, communication, grassroots mobilization and strategic political organization.
Mr. Kanayo is therefore appealing to delegates across the Northern Region to support his candidature, promising to dedicate his experience, energy and vision to building a stronger, united, vibrant and empowered youth wing.
He is campaigning under the message: “For the Youth, By the Youth and with the Youth,” with the slogan, “Experience to Lead, Vision to Transform, Commitment to Serve.”
