Israeli Envoy Visits N/R-Promises partnership between UDS and Desert Uni.

The Israeli Embassy in Ghana is to facilitate a partnership between the University for Development Studies and the Desert Institute in Israel to work together in joint research, technical knowledge and how to handle the geographical conditions of the areas that the two universities are situated.
The Israeli ambassador to Ghana Shalon Balli who disclosed this in an interview with ZAA NEWS says the northern regions share the same weather conditions with the desert south of Israel and the cooperation will also see how the two countries can maximize and optimize their natural resources.
She announced that delegations from different fields will arrive in Ghana very soon to undertake a study tour of their professional needs with their Ghanaian counterparts. 
She said the embassy will extend existing platforms of Israeli projects in the south to the north to help address the development needs of the people. 
Shalon Balli is on a three day working visit to the region where she is expected to learn at first hand the priorities and needs of the people as well as areas of cooperation between Ghana and Israel.
She has since visited the University for development studies, the regional Coordinating Council and the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly to have discussions of possible cooperation between Ghana and Israel.
Ambassordor Balli said her visit was to acquint her with first hand information about the daily challenges and deeds of the people and how they could possibly work together to secure the advantage of the two countries.
The Israeli embassy was reopend in Ghana six months ago after decades of closure and Aambassordor Balli says her outfit will work to improve relations with Ghana.
