Police in the Northern Region have rescued a gentleman believed to be working for the private investigative organization owned by Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Tiger Eye PI.
Ishmel Hussein was in the early hours on Saturday reportedly taken hostage by unknown gang in Tamale.
The incident occurred at a filling station at Choggu in the Tamale metropolis.
One person was also reported to have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Information surrounding the supposed abduction of Ishmel is scanty. Initial reports trickling in have it that the persons were ordered by Justice Yaw Ansu Gyeabour, who is a High Court judge in Tamale.
However, information reaching Zaa News indicates that, Ishmel met Justice Ansu Gyeabour’s former driver and recognized him as one of the Tiger Eye PI team member.
The driver recognition according to eye witness drew bystanders attention who wanted to catch glimpse of him but a family member who is a mechanic whisked him away to his mechanic shop.
Both the suspected kidnapper and Ishmel are currently undergoing interrogation by the criminal investigations department of the Ghana police service in the northern region.
